Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need experience with horses?

No. No horse experience is needed for any of our equine assisted service programs. All sessions are ground-based, meaning no riding is involved.

  • Is equine therapy covered by insurance or the VA?

Most private insurance plans do cover standard psychotherapy, but equine-assisted therapy specifically is not covered by VA Community Care or TRICARE. Operation Restore raises funds to help cover these costs for veterans and first responders who need it.

  • How do I sign up for a program?

Use the contact form above. We will walk you through the intake process and match you with the right program.
